So I normally don't bother during summer since it rains literally everyday, but what is the normal amount to do this? Monthly?
- #2
In the summer I hand wash my car, any other time I find touchless car washes to go through. Sometimes I'll just go to the places where you pay like $1.75 for three minutes of power washing with the wand.

I never get my car washed enough. I do it maybe once a month if I remember. Been needing to vacuum the inside of it for ages and still haven't done it...

Washed it 5 times, ever. I love/hate this car.

Winter becomes really awkward, as I know I should wash it more often to get the salt off, but we have no garage and there are huge portions of the winter where it never goes above freezing. Even if you wash it and then carefully dry off all the doors and everything you still get ice build-up and it sucks.
It gets a substantial cleaning and waxing before and after the winter, though.

2009 Corolla that I bought new after gas hit $4.25 and filling my 2007 Ram Hemi Quad Cab cost over $100 a tank (and getting 15mpg)...I hate this car, but I love it because it won't F'ing die.Washed it 5 times, ever. I love/hate this car.
My wife's got a 2005 Corolla with over 170K miles. You'll have yours for longer, these cars (and most cars in general) won't die after 9 years anymore.
I wash my car 3/4 times a year maybe. More during the winter but vacuum on a consistent basis.

I'll wash it once after winter, but that's it.

I shake out the floor mats periodically sure but it's not like I eat in my car or anything.jesus tell me you vacuum inside
As recommended by the manual. My car is over 10 years old, never had any major issues. Not sure why a layer of dust or water spots from the rain would an indication of not taking care of a vehicle.Just wondering for those who wash once a year, how often do you change the oil and other routine maintenance?

yeah put me in the 'when it rains' category. Nobody cares what my little Toyota looks like, least of all me.
I care. I care a lot.

I've been thinking about doing it more often, after only owning white cars I bought a dark blue Mazda 3 recently and it shows dust a lot more than I'm used to. I live in an apartment though so I can't wash it at home, and it's annoying paying for and waiting to go through the wash at the gas station.
